Medical Marijuana Bill Clears Another Hurdle

Another hurdle cleared for the Medical Marijuana bill up at the State Capitol. The Senate Finance Committee today passed the bill that would allow seriously ill patients to smoke marijuana to control pain and other symptoms. The bill passed this final Senate committee on a vote of 9 to 3 and now moves to the Senate floor. Thirteen states now permit medical use of marijuana under state law if a physician has recommended it.
